BENEFITS OF BANANAS FOR HEALTH

Banana is one of the high calorie tropical fruits. 100 grams of meat contains 90 calories. Even so, it is packed with many health benefits of phytonutrients such as dietary fiber, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Banana consists of soft and easy to digest meat, consisting of simple sugars such as fructose and sucrose which, after being consumed, immediately add energy and refresh the body. So, for this quality, it is one of the favorite quick bites among athletes to get instant energy. This is also one of the recommended supplement foods included in the treatment plan for malnourished children.

This fruit contains a lot of soluble dietary fiber (7% DRA per 100 grams) which helps regular bowel movements; thereby reducing constipation problems. It contains antioxidants that promote poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidants such as lutein, zeaxanthin, alpha, and beta-carotene; even though in small quantities. Together, these compounds help act as protective scavengers against oxygen-derived free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a role in aging and various disease processes.

Banana is a good source of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine); giving around 28% of the recommended allowances every day. Pyridoxine is an important B-complex vitamin that has a beneficial role in the treatment of neuritis, and anemia. Furthermore, this helps reduce homocysteine levels (one of the factors that trigger coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke episodes) in the human body. This fruit is also an ideal source of vitamin C (around 8.7 mg per 100g). Consuming foods rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance to infectious agents and look for dangerous oxygen free radicals.

Fresh bananas provide adequate levels of minerals such as copper, magnesium and manganese. Magnesium is very important for strengthening bones and has the role of a heart protector too. Manganese is used as a companion factor for antioxidant enzymes, superoxide dismutase. Copper is an important element in the production of red blood cells. Fresh bananas are a very rich source of potassium. 100 g of fruit provides 358 mg of potassium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps control heart rate and blood pressure, counteracting the harmful effects of sodium.

THE BENEFIT OF POTATOES

Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) are plants from the Solanaceae tribe that have edible stem tubers and are called "potatoes". Potato potatoes have now become one of the staple foods in Europe which was originally imported from South America. Spanish and Portuguese explorers first brought to Europe and breed this plant. The potato plant is originally from South America and has been cultivated by residents there for thousands of years. This plant is an annual (not woody) herb and is preferably cool. In the tropics it is suitable to be planted in the highlands. Perfect flower and compound composition. The size is quite large, with a diameter of about 3cm. The colors range from purple to white.
The Benefits
Potatoes can be healthful if prepared in the right way. A high intake of fruits and vegetables can benefit health and reduce the risk of many lifestyle-related health conditions. Potatoes contain important nutrients, even when cooked that can benefit human health in various ways.
Here we look at 10 ways in which the potato might contribute to a healthful lifestyle, including preventing osteoporosis, maintaining heart health, and reducing the risk of infection.
1.      Bone health
The iron, phosphorous, calciummagnesium, and zinc in potatoes all help the body to build and maintain bone structure and strength. Iron and zinc play crucial roles in the production and maturation of collagen. Phosphorus and calcium are both important in bone structure, but it is essential to balance the two minerals for proper bone mineralization. Too much phosphorus and too little calcium result in bone loss and contribute to osteoporosis.
2.      Blood pressure
A low sodium intake is essential for maintaining a healthy blood pressure, but increasing potassium intake may be just as important. Potassium encourages vasodilation, or the widening of the blood vessels. According to the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), fewer than percent of American adults meet the daily 4,700-milligram recommendation. Potassium, calcium, and magnesium are all present in the potato. These have been found to decrease blood pressure naturally.
3.      Heart health
The potato's fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin B6 content, coupled with its lack of cholesterol, all support heart health. Potatoes contain significant amounts of fiber. Fiber helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, thereby decreasing the risk of heart disease. Research based on the NHANES has linked a higher intake of potassium and a lower intake of sodium to a reduced risk of all-cause mortality and heart disease.
4.      Inflammation
Choline is an important and versatile nutrient that is present in potatoes. It helps with muscle movement, mood, learning, and memory.
It also assists in:
Maintaining the structure of cellular membranes transmitting nerve impulses the absorption of fat early brain development one large potato contains 57 mg of choline. Adult males need 550 mg, and females 425 mg a day.
5.      Cancer
Potatoes contain folate. Folate plays a role in DNA synthesis and repair, and so it prevents many types of cancer cells from forming due to mutations in the DNA. Fiber intake from fruits and vegetables like potatoes are associated with a lowered risk of colorectal cancer. Vitamin C and quercetin also function as antioxidants, protecting cells against damage from free radicals.
6.      Digestion and regularity
The fiber content in potatoes helps prevent constipation and promote regularity for a healthy digestive tract.
7.      Weight management and satiety
Dietary fibers are commonly recognized as important factors in weight management and weight loss. They act as "bulking agents" in the digestive system. They increase satiety and reduce appetite, so a person feels fuller for longer and is less likely to consume more calories.
8.      Metabolism
Potatoes are a great source of vitamin B6. This plays a vital role in energy metabolism, by breaking down carbohydrates and proteins into glucose and amino acids. These smaller compounds are more easily utilized for energy within the body.
9.      Skin
Collagen is the skin's support system. Vitamin C works as an antioxidant to help prevent damage caused by the sun, pollution, and smoke. Vitamin C also helps collagen smooth wrinkles and improve overall skin texture.
10.  Immunity
Research has found that vitamin C may help reduce the severity and duration of a cold. Potatoes are a good source of vitamin C.

EID AL-FITR

Muslims have two big celebrations every year. They are Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. At the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr in different ways according to their own habits.

Religious Eid is a day when Muslims are not permitted to fast. Eid al-Fitr Day falls on the first day of the lunar month based on observations of the new moon by the local religious authorities. So, the exact day of Eid al-Fitr varies from country to country. However, in most countries, it is generally celebrated on the same day as in Saudi Arabia.

In Indonesia, people greet each other by saying 'selamat idul fitri', which means 'happy Eid Al-Fitr'. Muslims also greet each other by saying 'apologize physically and mentally', which literally means 'please forgive my body (outwardly) and soul (in the heart)'.

During Eid al-Fitr, younger family members will go to family members or relatives to congratulate Eid al-Fitr, and also ask for forgiveness. This is a very pleasant day for children because adults give them money in colorful envelopes. Also, everyone can wear their latest or best clothes.

WHAT IS RAMADAN?

Ramadan is the most sacred month in Islamic culture. Muslims observe the month of Ramadan, to mark that Allah, or God, gave the first chapter of the Koran to the Prophet Muhammad in 610 according to the Times of India. During Ramadan, Muslims fast away from pleasure and pray to be closer to God. It is also a time for families to gather and celebrate.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar which is a lunar calendar based on the lunar cycle. The warning began the morning after the crescent moon marked the beginning of the new month. Traditionally, people searched for a little crescent using the naked eye, which has led to different initial declarations for Ramadan due to weather or geography. To have a more consistent start time for Muslims around the world, astronomical calculations are sometimes now used. Using science to mark the beginning of the month is still controversial and in many parts of the world, Ramadan still hasn't begun until the religious leaders announce that they have personally seen the crescent.

Fasting during the month of Ramadan is the fourth of the Five Pillars of Islam. These pillars or tasks form the basis of how Muslims practice their religion.

According to the Islamic Guide, Pillars of Islam are:
Shahada: faith in Islam.
Prayers: pray five times a day facing Mecca.
Zakat: giving support to those in need.
Fasting: fast during the month of Ramadan.
Hajj: make a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once during one's life.

During Ramadan, devout Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Fasting is not just about abstaining from food and drinks, but Muslims also have to refrain from smoking, taking oral medication and engaging in sexual activities, as well as gossiping, fighting and lying.
In order for fasting to be valid, Muslims must intend seriously and obey the laws that surround fasting. Commitments must be made every day before dawn when eating sahur. Fasting will be considered canceled if someone eats or drinks, intentional vomiting, sexual intercourse or menstrual bleeding. If fasting is broken or canceled, Muslims must change fasting the other day after Ramadan.
