AMAZON RAINFOREST
Amazon forests are rainforests in the Amazon, United States.
This region is also called Amazonian or the Amazon Basin, covering an area of
seven million square kilometers and forests covering 5.5 million square
kilometers. The Amazon also includes the most extensive tropical forest in the
world, and has two other names namely "Lung of the world" because it
produces 30% of all oxygen on Earth and "Green Hell" because each
year the river overflows. The density of the forest makes it all look the same
and the last because there are many attacks of wild insects, most of which are
not yet named. Thirty percent of the number of plants and animals of various
species is in this forest. Animals in this forest are jaguar, tapir, anaconda,
boa, blue morph butterfly, harpy eagle etc. While the plants include kapok
trees, elephant ear trees, giant lotus, jarda orchids, sapodilla, banana trees
etc.
Amazon forest is a tropical forest that is richer in species
than tropical forests in Africa and Asia. The Amazon forest also has unrivaled
biodiversity. One in ten species that are famous throughout the world is in
this forest. This is the largest collection of plant and animal species in the
world. This region is home to around 2.5 million insect species, tens of
thousands of plants and around 2,000 birds and mammals. To date at least 40,000
plant species, 2,200 fish, 1,294 birds, 427 mammals, 428 amphibians and 378
reptiles have been scientifically classified in the region.
Here are examples of horrible animals that live in the
Amazon rainforest, among others
• Black Caiman
This animal has a size of up to 6 meters. When compared to
crocodiles or hippos, caiman is much bigger. Caimans can eat anything including
humans.
• Arapaima
This fish is often used as ornamental fish because of its
shape resembling arowana fish. But on the Amazon River, these fish are very
dangerous because they have sharp teeth. The size can reach 2.7 meters and
weigh 90 meters.
• Candiru fish
These fish are often referred to as deadly little monsters.
Candiru is very interested in human urine, so when humans urinate on the Amazon
River it means they invite candiru fish. Candiru will enter the human urinary
tract and suck human blood. Therefore this fish is very dangerous.
